The Broadcasting Board of Governors held its first ever public meeting on Friday, June 3, 2011 in Washington, D.C. A year into their appointments, Governors outlined initiatives to reform U.S. international broadcasting, provided an update on the BBG strategic review, announced the Burke Award winners to recognize courage, integrity and originality of BBG journalists, and took questions from the public on U.S. international broadcasting.
