Meeting of the Broadcasting Board of Governors Scheduled for October 23
WASHINGTON, DC – The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) will meet on Wednesday, October 23 at the BBG headquarters in Washington, D.C. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:15 a.m.
The Board’s agenda includes reform of the Board’s committee structure, including establishment of special committees on a Chief Executive Officer and on shortwave. The Board will also consider the organization of the Boards of Directors of BBG-funded grantee networks, a Board travel policy, and proposed meeting dates for 2014.
The public may attend this meeting in person as seating capacity permits, and there will be an opportunity for public comment. Members of the public seeking to attend the meeting in person must register here by 12:00 p.m. on October 22.
The members of the BBG will also meet in a closed session to consider the appointment of a General Counsel.
