BBG to meet, discuss increased coordination among networks
WASHINGTON – The Broadcasting Board of Governors will meet at its Washington, D.C. headquarters, at 11:00 a.m. on February 26, 2016.
In addition to Board business, the board will honor Voice of America stringer Almigdad Mojalli, who was killed in an air raid while reporting in Yemen. The Board will also recognize the VOA Creole Service which celebrated its 30th anniversary this month. In addition, Chief Executive Officer and Director of the BBG John Lansing will deliver his report to the board and moderate a discussion with the heads of the BBG networks regarding enhanced coordination efforts.
The public may attend any or all of these sessions in person by registering here by 12:00 p.m. on February 25. The meeting will also be streamed live on the BBG website, www.bbg.gov.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. Additional information, including any updates or adjustments to its starting time, will be posted on the BBG website. Minutes, documents and a video recording will be available after the meeting concludes.
