On this International Women’s Day, the BBG salutes the women of international media and their contributions to our mission. The passion, dynamism, and skill of the women of the BBG is inspiring. They work in front of and behind the camera, as both news-makers and decision-makers. They provide accurate, professional, and independent reporting on pressing global issues, each and every day, often at great personal risk and cost. They lend voice to the voiceless in places press and information freedom are absent or limited.
Please join the conversation on Facebook and share your thoughts:
– How are women in journalism shaping the profession?
– What do you think is the most pressing issue facing women journalists now?
– What value do women bring to leadership positions behind the scenes? i.e. producers, editors, directors, media company heads, etc.
– What advice would you give yourself when you were first entering the field of journalism?
