May 17 and 18, 2017

Two experts from the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) traveled to Kuwait City on May 17 and 18, 2017, to train Kuwait Ministry of Information officials on digital archiving and media asset management.

VOA uses two types of software, Dalet Plus Production and Dalet Plus Archive, to push and hold the content.

Topics covered in the training included:

  • Preparing the physical collection, inventory and assessment
  • The importance of linking metadata to each asset
  • Technical architecture of media asset management
  • Emerging technologies
  • Preparing staff to collect information
