New Delhi: Reporting on anti-narcotics

Journalists gathered to enhance skills to effectively report on anti-narcotics issues in New Delhi, India, held from September 21–23, 2017.

The workshop trained journalists’ to work with digital media by demonstrating ways to shoot quality videos using mobile devices and write impactful stories. The training also included an explanation on the five-year anti-narcotics action plan that was launched in 2015, informing journalists ways to cooperate with sports organizations, religious center, media platforms, schools and the ministry of health in spreading awareness against drugs.

15 trainees came from various organizations including VOA, Pazhwok Afghan News, Tolo V, RTA, Kilid Radio, Shamshad TV and TV Channel 1.
