This one-hour webinar explored the disinformation narratives surrounding COVID-19 in Africa: Who is spreading information? Why? What type of disinformation is most common? We’ also looked at challenges that journalists are facing in covering Coronavirus in Africa and how they can identify fake news and ensure listeners are receiving accurate news and information. Journalists from Botswana, Ethiopia, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, Zambia, Rwanda, Republic of South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania actively participated in the discussion.
