Springfield, Va. — The ProMax Global Excellence Awards awarded Alhurra Television’s “Real or Made Up” promotional video with the bronze trophy in the OMG! category. The category honors promos designed to shock the viewer or create controversy, making them memorable.
“Real or Made Up” is a part of Alhurra’s “Know the Whole Story” promotional campaign, created as a way to show viewers the importance of being informed of all sides of the story before they can truly comprehend it. A second video from the campaign, “Suicide or Play”, was also a finalist in same category.
“The ingenuity and originality of these videos, and the entire campaign, is a testament to the talent of the Creative Services team. They were able to illustrate a key component of MBN’s mission in a way that grabs the viewer’s attention,” stated Middle East Broadcasting Networks Acting President Hassan Shwiki. MBN manages and oversees Alhurra. “This campaign shows the audience that unfiltered and unbiased news is needed to understand the whole picture and that they can find it on Alhurra.”
