TV Martí reporter receives Emmy nomination for Obama coverage

Television Martí was nominated for a 2016 Suncoast Regional Emmy Award from The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) for their continuing coverage of President Barack Obama’s historic visit to Cuba. The Obama en Cuba live, special coverage by Natalia Crujeiras, Malule González, Vivian Martinez, José Gaston, and Mark Gillingham was nominated in the Continuing Coverage–No Time Limit category of the awards.

The Suncoast Chapter honors original content created for traditional broadcast/cablecast mediums as well as non-traditional and emerging platforms for broadband and portable delivery. Television is ‘moving pictures on a screen.’
