VOA’s The Air Force’s Quiet Crises wins CAPBA’s Outstanding News Series award

Voice of America won Outstanding News Series for The Air Force’s Quiet Crises, at the 2017 Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association (CAPBA) awards. The series covers the U.S. Air Force’s inability to carry out all planned missions due to a shortage of pilots and ground crews to service the aircraft. Pentagon Correspondent Carla Babb and Photographer/Editor Mike Burke produced the series.
