Bomb explodes near MBN’s Baghdad Bureau
Blast waves damaged Middle East Broadcasting Network’s Baghdad bureau around midnight on April 28 when a truck bomb exploded at the entrance of a police station located about 165 feet away from the bureau.
ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack, which killed four people and injured eight.
Thankfully, MBN staff were not in the building and no one was hurt. The explosion blew out the majority of the bureau’s windows; a blast film prevented glass shatter, allowing clean-up and repair to be completed quickly the following day.
